Broad Universe News posted 5 March 2002 Broad Universe mailing list member Deborah Biancotti won the Ditmar Award (2001 Australian SF Awards) for Best New Talent.
The Ghost Sister, by Liz Williams, is up for the Philip K Dick award and was on the New York Times "Notable Books" list for 2001. It's also on the Locus recommended books for 2001.
Nancy Jane Moore's story "Three O'Clock in the Morning" was one of the few short stories listed by L. Timmel Duchamp in her "Best of 2001" essay published on Fantastic Metropolis.
And several of our mailing list members have been listed as "Recommended 2001 First Novels" by Locus Magazine. Archangel Protocol (Roc) by Lyda Morehouse, Alien Taste (Roc) by Wen Spencer, and The Ghost Sister (Bantam Spectra) by Liz Williams. |
