Morning Coffee
Carisa Swenson's work reflects her love of fantasy and mythology, both of which have played an important part in her life since childhood. Due to an abundance of mythology books within her parent's house (her father being a high school English teacher who taught courses in Greek mythology) combined with an over-active imagination and being an only child, Carisa spent hours creating fantastical beasts and worlds. Much to her mother's relief, none of these creatures ended up gracing the walls of the house. A lover of nature and animals, she finds wildlife and the outdoors an endless source of inspiration for creating and illustrating the creatures that populate her imagination. Carisa's work has been published in card games, magazines, and childrens' books.
