Broad Universe had two events at WorldCon 2006 (LAcon IV): a Rapidfire Reading and a party shared with Sime~Gen and EPIC. The Rapidfire was Wednesday evening and was organized by Kelly Green. Jay Lake introduced the readers, and tossed chocolates to audience members with the most enthusiastic response after each reading. The party was on Friday night, and those who were able to find the party room in the twisting corridors of the fifth floor Hilton had a good time. Many thanks to Kaires Tevesu, who coordinated the food and the work for the party! Broad Universe also had a table in the dealers' room with books by many of the members for sale. Many thanks to Grace O'Malley (table coordinator) and Rina Elson of Tachyon Press (who was the contact for members to get their books shipped to the convention) for making the table such a success!
