Broad Universe had two WisCon 25 events: a panel discussion and an excellent party, both on Sunday, 27 May 2001. The panel took place in the same room as last year's "World Domination 101" panel which was the point of origin for Broad Universe. Diane Silver reminded us of this fact when a count of the money spontaneously donated by audience members came to $101! Thanks very much to all who contributed, and especially to the quick-thinking person who started passing the hat, literally.

That evening, the BU party followed the Guest of Honor speeches and the Tiptree Award ceremony. Molly Gloss, this year's Tiptree winner for Wild Life, kindly donated the fabulous cake that was part of her prize. Several people donated food, drink, party supplies, set-up and clean-up help, and cash. Many, many thanks to Melodie Barker for coordinating the event and doing the bulk of the work!
