Omaha Author Creates Fictional Tribe

June 13, 2011, Omaha NE - Omaha author and resident, Trudy Myers, and MoonPhaze Publishing are pleased to announce the availability of a new story by Ms Myers. After working for the City of Omaha for over 30 years, Ms Myers turned to writing, mostly fantasy and science fiction. Her new offering is “Origins of Atlans”, where she explores the myth and facts of how the Atlan tribe was created in her ‘Atlan Universe’.

Ms Myers had noticed that many cultures throughout Earth’s history believed their ruler held that position because he/she was descended from the culture’s dominant god. She wondered about the possibility of a tribe who believed the entire tribe was descended from the gods.

“I imagined an intriguing tribe,” said Ms Myers recently. “So intriguing, I kept returning to them, telling stories from different eras of their history. When MoonPhaze asked to introduce readers to this tribe, I thought I should start at the very beginning, even though the tribe itself does not remember the exact details. Such stories do go through changes as they are handed down, from generation to generation.”
