Carol Berg's two-book series, "Flesh and Spirit" and "Breath and Bone," is a finalist for the 2009 Mythopoeic Fantasy Award for Adult Literature.
The award is given for "the fantasy novel, multi-volume
novel, or single-author story collection for adults published during the
previous year that best exemplifies 'the spirit of the Inklings'." The
Inklings were the 1930s-50s Oxford literary circle that included J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Charles Williams, and others. Former finalists and winners include Ursula Le Guin, Mary Stewart, Gene Wolfe, Patricia McKillip, Roger Zelazny, and Neil Gaiman.
The 2009 winner will be announced in July at MythCon. Good luck Carol! We're rooting for you.
